Self-Portrait (Study in the Style of Rembrandt) - Pencil on Paper.
This work represents a meticulous study of a "Self-Portrait" by the great painter Rembrandt van Rijn. Through this drawing, rendered entirely in pencil, I seek to explore the power of the classical style in its use of light and shadow (chiaroscuro) and the dramatic depth that characterized his works. The drawing showcases the fine details of the features and the rich texture of the hat and white collar, emphasizing a high level of skill in realistic drawing and portrait techniques. This work is part of a series reflecting my passion for artistic heritage and that focuses on the power of monochrome.
